This is the contents page from a music magazine called 'Vibe'. The picture on the front of the cover is of Ciara an artist who is now becoming more of an adult.
The colours in this piece are a key feature there are more dark colours than light. This could show the difference in becoming an adult from being a teenager. The costume is a main prob on this page as it shows Ciara not being as innocent as she once was. It reveals so much of her body as we can tell her legs are completely bare. Her legs are also up in the air in a 'v' shape which is also over the 'V' on the page. The 'V' has been placed there as that is the beginning letter of the title. Going back to the colours they also represent the genre of this magazine.
The genre of this magazine is 'Hip Hop' or 'R'N'B'. You can tell this from the colours used in the magazine which are white and black, there is also some grey/silver.
The type of audience to buy this magazine would most likely be students aged 16-25. The artist in this feature is also aimed that audience. The people who but this magazine are likely to be unemployed or if they do have a job the well only be un-skilled workers.
The narrative of this piece only comes from the features it talks about. The main one being Ciara and about her life one of the things she talks about is 'sex' as we can see from the slug line. Ciara has quoted many a time before that 'I won't have sex until I'm married'. Has that changed? We don't know, but form the clothes she is wearing in this picture it draws up conclusions that maybe contradict her past phrases. There is also an article on the band 'Boys To Men' which is not aimed at many students, however some do like them so this maybe changes the genre area as this band is more aimed at older people and most definitely not R'N'B. There are also fashion tips on here. Proving that this is aimed at students as they are targeted for clothes more than any other range of people as students always have money.
