Research and Planning: Evaluation question 2

How does your media product represent social groups?

.Both of these images represent the same group if 'Indie' style and practically are the same image. The posture is the same on both images as they are both relaxed, however from there expressions there is a hint that there is some other motive.

.The gesture of the image from NME is different in some ways as on the image that I have taken the hands are by the model's hands - casual and relaxed. On the image of Matt Bellamy taken from NME has his hands together and looks like he's plotting something.

.The angle on both of these images are eye level so that the audience can see directly the main image and whats happening.

.Both of the shot types are of a medium close up so that the audience can see the face of the model and they can see a little more, the clothes they are wearing and the posture of their upper bodies.

.The lighting on both of these images in high key once again connecting with the audience, this has been done so that the viewers can see the image perfectly. And like my image the background of the NME cover is also a little distorted.

.The costume used on each model is casual as they are both wearing a cardigan, however the one on my image has a hood showing a different style mingled in with Indie perhaps.

.The expression on both of these images look smug and they both look like they are plotting or are about to do something that's good for them.

.The hair on both of the models uses is casual and is straight and then moved to different sides.

.From both of these images it is clear to see that my front cover image is almost identical to the one used on NME which means that I can connect to the audience I want as NME does focus on the Indie/Rock style and from my image I can reach that audience as well.

.The differences however are obviously different on story-lines as Matt Bellamy is in the band - Muse - which is mentioned in my contents and is used on my front cover, whereas Link has left his band and is going solo.
